Jennifer wakes up from a coma to find that she remembers nothing about her life. Her husband, her home, her friends, and certainly not the mysterious "B" who sent her a series of love letters. She becomes convinced that if she could find out who this B is, she will be able to unlock the secret of who she is.
40 years later, writer Ellie finds the very same mysterious letter in the newspaper archives. She embarks upon an obsession to discover what happened to these long lost lovers.
In this earlier work by JoJo Moyes, she crafts a sweet story about star crossed lovers. Unfortunately, no matter how endearing the characters are, the plot is contrived and unoriginal. I spent most of the book thinking this was another re-telling of the classic film "An Affair to Remember". In fact, this is the only Moyes book that I didn't love, or even really like.
