The Monk of Mokha by Dave Eggers

Rollicking good true story about Mokhtar Alkhanshali, a young street-smart Yemeni-American. He has no career, no purpose, no future, until he discovers his passion for the forgotten coffee of Yemen. His mission is to re-introduce superior Yemeni coffee to America. Lots of education is entailed, as well as travel, mishaps, bluffing, AK47s, and odd characters who help or impede Mokhtar on his quest. The book also has an interesting, sympathetic Muslim viewpoint. An engaging, fast read.
