A memoir by a former British National Heath Service employee and single parent describes her battles with early onset Alzheimer's, the management techniques she has developed to maintain her independence, and her efforts to make sense of her shifting world.
"Personal descriptions of slowly advancing dementia. Author describes how she is able to travel using the bus and train long after her diagnosis. Discusses her connection with people in a similar situation and meetings with dementia organizations. A brave, conscientious woman who was able to maintain her independence for an astounding amount of time. A good read!"
