Clive Barker departs from his horror fiction genre and creates a wonderful, fantasy fiction (with just a touch of the creeps). His talent for detail along with character development take the reader on an adventure full of magic and the classic duel of good vs. evil. 5 Stars!
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frey by Rachel Joyce submitted by Hope
An unusual story of an older man on a walking pilgrimage to visit a former fellow employee in a Hospice six hundred miles from South England to the far North. Physical problems, meeting people, facing many situations and most of all his own inner conflicts haunt his journey. A good novel! A few things the reader can retain for personal values.
