Award winning actress Drew Barrymore has grown up in the public eye since her break out role in the movie E.T. She has been upfront with her struggles with sobriety, her difficult and unusual childhood, her legacy as a member of the famed Barrymore family, and her life's journey towards happiness.
This book is a collection of vignettes assembled in no particular order about her life. She recounts memories of filming E.T, saying good-bye to her father, learning how to do laundry as a young adult, sky diving with Cameron Diaz, becoming a mother, and other parts of her life.
I found the book to be interesting, at times inspirational, whimsical, and easy to pick up and put down as my own life got hectic. If you are interested in celebrity memoirs or just want a light hearted collection of stories to read, this a great choice.
